Sometimes I wonder
In the dead of night
If I'll ever make it
To the other side

My heart is brittle
And my brain is fried
And then I remember

I'm just riding on the wave
I'm not in control
I don't choose my destination

And you'd think that I'd be scared
It's just not how it is
In fact I feel serene

I'm gliding towards some kind of truth
That my mind is still too young to comprehend
But while I'm in the blossom of my youth
I'll pretend that I've got some kind of clue

Of what I'm here to do

And although the wave is strong
My mind is still my own
I decide which way to look
And how to judge what I am shown
As the moon begets the tide
So my point of view conceives
My experience of life
How I feel is what I believe

But loosing control
